The Social Development Committee publishes its Annual Narrative Report for 2025: the record of a year in which Arab public life in Haifa faced prolonged pressure, and in which SDC's role as a trusted communal address became more visible and more necessary.

The report tells the story of work carried out in the space between emergency and long-term change: strengthening the civic infrastructure that protects shared public life in the city; sustaining civic networks and shared learning among residents, activists and partner organizations; education as a site of voice, rights and belonging for Arab students and young people; women's civic presence and community continuity; and the internal work of strengthening the organization for the years ahead.

It also records the beginning, toward the end of 2025, of the strategic thinking and planning process, with staff, board members and external experts, that grew into SDC's Strategic Plan 2026-2029, (Re)Imagining Haifa: From Resilience to Transformation.

The report reflects the efforts of many people: staff, board members, community activists, educators, parents, women, youth, partners and donors. We thank each of them for their commitment and trust.
